We believe that the best time to address a problem loan is before it goes into default. This gives the borrower a better opportunity to demonstrate that it can "work out" the problem in conjunction with the bank. Given the high volume of foreclosures and challenges within the banking industry, getting banks to address problem loans before going into default is often a challenge but well worth the effort. However, this is serious business and all borrowers are well advised to seek competent legal and financial advice in order to make the best informed decisions.
